Education & Experience

Jeffrey Vallens was born and raised in Southern California. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California before going on to law school at the University of LaVerne (Forbes Magazine Top 100) and launching a successful career as a criminal defense attorney. Mr. Vallens has been practicing criminal and DUI defense for over 20 years. He works in all courts in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and as needed in other locations at the request of his clients.

Mr. Vallens was first licensed to practice law on May 28, 1996. Unlike most local lawyers Attorney Vallens has practiced on military bases in Southern California including Edwards Air Force Base and Fort Irwin Military Reservation.

He is licensed to practice before:

  • The California Supreme Court (all courts in California)
  • The United States Supreme Court, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals
  • U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California
  • The U.S. Court of Military Appeals.

A Commitment to Excellence

For six years Mr. Vallens was a board member of a fantastic local charity the Valley Community Legal Foundation. The VCLF in combination with the San Fernando Valley Bar Association helps support shelters for battered women, funds scholarships for students seeking careers in the legal field, provides shelter and blankets for the homeless and has built several children’s waiting rooms in Los Angeles County courthouses.

In recent years, Mr. Vallens has begun to pursue his passion to make wine. He began making wine as a hobby in 2011 and has continued to hone his skills for the ever since then.
